You could go buy some, ooorrr you could take the 20 minutes and make your own!
Mango Habanero BBQ Sauce
The perfect amount of sweet and heat that is super complex with little effort! A sauce that can be used on mostly anything!
1 c. Ketchup
1/2 c. Brown Mustard
1/2 c. Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tbsp. Honey
1 c. Mango
2 Habaneros (minced, no seeds)
4 Garlic Cloves (minced)
1 tsp. Lime Juice
1/2 c. Brown Sugar
1 tbsp. Ground Ginger
1 tbsp. Onion Powder
1 tsp. Black Pepper
2 tsp. Salt
Turn burner to medium. Place medium sized sauce pan on burner.
Once to temp, add all ingredients to pan. Let simmer for 15 min.
Pull off and pour blend into blender or food processor. Pulse until sauce is smooth.
Pour sauce back into pan. Let simmer for another 5 min.
Use this sauce for EVERYTHING! (Except ice cream, don’t do that.)
For additional spice, you do can do one of a couple things: Leave seeds in the 2 Habaneros in the recipe OR add additional Habaneros. This sauce has its ties with regular BBQ sauce with the Ketchup and Mustard but goes so brilliantly with things like Caribbean food and Latin food! It really does go with everything. WEAR GLOVES!
