
I would say these BBQ Meatballs are your typical, straight forward meatball but that would be down playing how ridiculously amazing they are!

BBQ Meatballs
Perfectly smoky morsels of goodness. Combined with the The Tailgate Foodie signature sauce, MMMMM. There is a lot of room for change with spice blends etc.

Ingredients
For Meatballs:
- 1 lb. Ground Beef (80/20)
- 1 lb. Mild Italian Sausage
- 1/2 c. Red Onion (minced)
- 2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
- 2 Eggs (1 whole, 1 yolk)
- 1/4 c. Milk
- 1/4 c. Bread Crumbs
- 5 tbsp. TTGF BBQ Rub
For sauce:
- The All-American BBQ Sauce (or your favorite BBQ Sauce!)
Instructions
For Oven:
- Place meat and seasoning blend into mixing bowl. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Place all other ingredients into bowl. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Roll 2 oz. of mixture into ball. (Should make about 20) and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 min. or meatballs are 165F.
- Pull and sear in heavy bottom pan.
- Serve hot with side of sauce!
For smoker:
- Place meat and seasoning blend into mixing bowl. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Place all other ingredients into bowl. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Preheat smoker to 225F.
- Roll 2 oz. of mixture into ball. (Should make about 20) and place on baking sheet.
- Smoke for 30 min.
- Pull and sear in heavy bottom pan until meatballs are 165F.
- Serve hot with side of sauce!
Notes
These can be an App or a Main! A big way of changing this is the size of the meatball itself. For a different flavor profile, baste the meatballs every 5 minutes with the sauce being utilized.
